The Role of a Young Life Leader
Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.
Questions students ask...
What kinds of people are in Young Life?
There is no one type of person involved in Young Life. It’s for everyone. It’s a place to talk about school, break-ups, parents, bad grades or God. If this sounds appealing, then there is space for you in Young Life.
What do you do in Young Life?
When people first think of Young Life, they think of “Club.” Basically, Club is a time when a bunch of students get together (anyone is invited) to laugh, play games and talk a little about life.
The bulk of Young Life, though, is simply about friendships. It’s doing what you like to do, with your friends and your leaders.
Beyond club and amazing friendships, Young Life offers time for leaders and their young friends to talk more deeply about life and the Christian faith in “Campaigners” or while they spend time together on a variety of trips to places that help you focus on life and God. One of those places is Young Life camp.
